Why I created this
I created The Energy Reset after reaching the edge of what my own system could carry. I had been teaching reading intervention groups, leading meetings, holding the emotional climate of the school, doing all the things I knew to do to relieve stress and was still leaving each day feeling hollow rather than tired.
What I needed wasn't another practice. It was a real reset, where I wasn't also the person holding the space for others.
After 18 years as an international educator, including teaching in Morocco and Taiwan, and years of training in yoga, breathwork, Reiki, and nervous system regulation, I built this session around the belief that your body already knows what it needs. It just needs the space and support to do it.
This is what I wish I'd had. It's what I now offer to anyone who has been carrying a great deal for a long time.

Questions you might have
1. I’ve never done Reiki or breathwork before—will this still work for me?
Yes. No prior experience is needed. This session is fully guided, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.
2. I’m already doing yoga/therapy/coaching. How is this different?
The Energy Reset works with what your body is carrying, rather than what you're thinking or talking through. Many clients find it reaches something that conversation or movement alone doesn't quite access. It complements other forms of support.
3. What do I need to prepare for a virtual session?

4. What if I get emotional during the session?
That's completely welcome. Emotions often move through as the body releases what it's been carrying. You won't need to manage anything — you'll be supported throughout.
5. Can I book more than one session?
Three and five-session bundles are available. If you're ready for deeper, sustained support, the Path to Freedom is a three-month journey that builds on this foundation.
6. What's the difference between this and the Path to Freedom?
The Energy Reset is a single, complete experience — the right starting point if you know something needs to shift but aren't yet ready for a longer commitment. The Path to Freedom is a three-month coaching container for the woman ready to go deeper into sustained nervous system integration and self-leadership.

About Kim
Kim Brooks is a somatic practitioner, certified yoga teacher, and Reiki practitioner based in the Maryland area. She spent 18 years as an educator, including teaching internationally in Morocco and Taiwan, before building a practice devoted to helping service-oriented women return to steadiness in their own bodies. She believes the most grounded leaders are the ones who have learned to lead themselves first.
